Aaronic Blessing

The Aaronic Blessing, also known as the Priestly Blessing, is a prayer that has deep historical and religious significance. It is one of the oldest known Biblical texts. In the Torah, Yehovah commands Aaron and his sons to bless the children of Israel with this special blessing.

The prayer is found in the Book of Numbers (6:24-26):

English Version (using your specified names):

  1. “Yehovah bless you and keep you;”
  2. “Yehovah make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you;”
  3. “Yehovah lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace.”

The Hebrew version of this prayer is:

(Yehovah yevarech’cha v’yishmerecha)
(Yehovah ya’er panav eleycha vichuneka)
(Yehovah yisa panav eleycha v’yasem lecha shalom)
