The Latter Days: God’s Promised Restoration to His People
In the hearts of many Messiahians, a profound anticipation stirs as they believe we are living in the last days, eagerly awaiting the fulfillment of God’s promises and the restoration of all things marred by sin. Restoration of God’s Truth: In these latter days, God will pour out His Spirit upon all flesh, fulfilling the prophecy of Joel (Joel 2:28-29). This outpouring was witnessed during the day of Pentecost when the Holy Spirit descended upon the disciples, empowering them to boldly proclaim the truth of God (Acts 2:17-18). In addition, God appoints prophets and apostles to guide and instruct His church, equipping believers with a clear understanding of His plan of salvation and His commandments (Ephesians 4:11-13; Revelation 11:3-6). In this unity, God’s people reflect the oneness that Yeshua fervently prayed for, testifying to the world of His transformative power (John 17:20-23; Ephesians 4:1-6).
Manifestation of God’s Glory: In the latter days, God will manifest His glory in unprecedented ways, unveiling His splendor and majesty. His presence will radiate through signs, wonders, miracles, and healings, displaying His power and authority to a world in need (Isaiah 60:1-3; Acts 2:19-21; Revelation 21:23-24). As God’s glory fills the earth, a place will be prepared for His people, where they will dwell in His presence forever (John 14:2-3; Revelation 21:1-4).
